Welcome to Happy Valley Death Café

Happy Valley Death Café

…is a single event where people just talk about death, how they feel about it or how it has affected them. It is not a grief support group, it does not have an agenda, or a mission. No spin, no pitch. Just a respectful conversation with a facilitator to keep things on track.

Happy Vally Death Café locations are in the Northampton area and change according to the season.

Below are sign up forms to attend a Café either in June or July.

Please check again to sign up for outdoor Happy Valley Death Cafés in August and September. We will list them on this page.

All Death Cafés are free; donations are happily accepted.

What to expect

We will introduce ourselves, including what brought each of us to the Café, and then allow the topics to flow. In the following 90 minutes you have time to talk and listen over tea/coffee and cake. Actually, once you start, you have a lot to talk about. We will end with a brief check-in on how you are feeling or anything that is on your mind and heart.

People can continue to talk privately afterwards or attend multiple Death Cafés.

About

Death Cafés are taking place all over the world and follow the same simple format: to talk about death in a relaxed setting. It was conceived by Jon Underwood from the UK in 2010 and has since gained rapidly in popularity.
